Tennis , which I was thinking of putting up some of the photos for , but you know it struck me to just chat about the tennis competition . If anyone wants some pictures put up , just send a note or post a comment to ask . It was a great time ! Of course you probably know of that great Fiddler , Roger , upending the Rookie Marcos Baghdatis , but I think that was expected . Here's a secret , Roger , was intrigued by this undergraduate to the professional ranks , and nearly proved his undoing . Of course , we all saw this at the Trophy Awards , and it all came out , the struggle . This was the Men's Competition . And my lovely Amelie , finally triumphed in the Ladies Competition . How many years have I had to stand , and wait for my passionfruit to grow , and to blossom , and now here it is ! The waiting was worth it ! Those years of yearning and observing the player , growing and developing were worth it ! How magnificent is lovely Amelie playing the Tennis court , at her height of the profession and her fluid playing ability , ah le Fruit Francais . There were so many other contests that were fun . The Men's Doubles , were won by Americans , the Bryan brothers , Bob and Mike , against Leander Paes and Martin Damm . The Bryans had been to the Finals and had fought before this , and it was to be their win for the first time . And the Women's Doubles had a similar end , with Zi Yan and Jie Zheng finally breaking through to win . The Mixed Doubles were awarded to , no other than , Martina Hingus and Mahesh Bhupathi . Those are the results . So where to now ? Sadly , the 3 Female Players injured in the Tournament were Justine Hardenne (who fought Amelie Mauresmo in the final ) and Kim Clijsters and Lindy Davenport , both who will be hopping probably home after this competition . I found these Players exciting to watch . Which leaves us with ? The lovely French player Amelie and ... Martina Hingus (who is also lovely) And I think the Season is going to be return-fights between these two ! Well , that isn't so bad . It will be a great way to travel this year . I'm going to have fun , and I hope you do to . Perhaps there is an Unknown player about to rise from the mist to challenge ? Maybe , we might see the gorgeous Jelena again ? Tennis Time... or should I say Tennis Time Out ! We are at the Quarters and it's all analysis , and Time Out here means we are looking at what should really be Injury Time , with a lot of the 16 players with serious sprains . Let me give the little list of Injury... starting with that Fiddler ' Roger Federer' - the last match was a hard fought game against Tommy Haas , and for the last 2 matches Roger has been wearing a flex ankle supporter . He is noticably limping . He may survive his next match with Russian Nicolay Davydenko , who also has had tough play . Of some of the Ladies - Lindy Davenport has also a supported ankle . Kim Clijsters is even worse , with hip , thigh and shoulder strain . It surprised me , how stiff and sore she was on court , that she survived . I felt sorry for the Latin Lovely , Francesca Schiavone .. I don't think she could believe it ! Which brings me to my passionfruit , Amelie Mauresmo , so far , a whirlpool of energy against the other players , and her next match is against the capable Swiss player , Patty Schnyder . And , so it may be over for the Belgian mistress , and all we can offer , is only kisses for her injuries . So , back to the Quarters , most of men have had tough matches , and the name on our lips is ..... here's an interesting name .... Marcos Baghdatis.. the player who shot down the Rocket , Andy Roddick . It was a surprise to all of us ! So here come the finals with 8 games left . Of the Women Players , we have 2 Belgians Justine Hardenne - dangerous! and Kim Clijsters-injury . We have 2 Swiss players , Martina Hingis and Patty Schnyder . And 2 Russians , Maria Sharapova and Nadia Petrova . And an American , Lindy Davenport . And here we go ! See you in the place . Till next post

Tennis tennis , and more tennis . Well what is happening at the Grand Slam ? I have had to say goodbye sadly to Mary Pierce and Serena Williams . You see the William's enjoy the Year's break , and enjoy all the good meals of the season . Mary Pierce was playing well , and just lost her strength , but there is promise I think . Let's hope for better in this season , later on . It is Round 3 and the Quarters are nearly with us . What can we hope for ? Having watched some of the games , this Year is a global competition , and quite different . There are many more competitors , especially more countries , and all well prepared , although not yet up to the top standard , yet . What we admire are the standards of sports attire . Of course , this is part of the competition .Although I must say , we know Daniella Hantuchova does prefer her sleepwear , and what a way to win against her opponent . But it was Maria Kirilenko who showed herself as the ' pretty woman' of the court in a lilac chiffon ; Lindsay was forced during the break to change to a color and from there had to dominate the match . Maria Sharapova impressed in a skiffy , and won . How can this attire not improve the competition . Let us say this is good . What guy or girl is not going to say , come on teddy , let's pump it . Back to sport , we are all in awe of Miss Swish and the performance on court she is showing , but the contest is in a tough year. She is wearing dark blue , but is it Nike ? Of the guy players , Tommy Haas is going . Lleyton Hewitt is out . And Carlos Moya went out in the first round ; how we suffer for him . And with Amelie Mauresmo , she is going to have a fight with Michaella Krajicek . She will have to have new attire . She won't win , if it's dark blue . Well , that's some quick results . These comments are related to the previous post on tennis . And here is the review on the player' actions on the courts in the active competition . Dear Mary Pierce had a good win against an experienced player . Amelie Mauresmo is now a mature professional player , and I suspect a little tired , worn from the fight . Her game is slower . I wish her the best . Perhaps she isn't eating enough cheese ? A little Camembert and Perriere , and ah! a massage ! And that brings me to some upcoming games . In a few hours , that swish Miss Hingis , takes to the court against a young experienced Russian , Vera Zvonareva . Will Martina again conquer the court , to be our darling , or fall at our feet ; I think that's a reminder ! Also on soon ,is Sebastien Grosjean against Mark Phillipousis . Sebastien Grosjean is an excellent player sitting just below the world's best . He is very wily and quite easily upsets the best . Phillipousis (pussyboots) has been amongst the winners many times . Will Pussyboots cut him down ? We will see . Till next post

You're looking at a Tennis fan ! Actually you can't see me . That's because I'm a long way away from this blog . A Tennis Grand Slam (1of4) is opening today and I will excitedly view the action in the evenings . I lost interest a few years ago . It was all the beau's and bunnies , you know . What got me turned on again , was the return of the court legend... Martina Navratilova . Well , she has lost her sharpness when she was at her peak and is a little shaky , but she is still winning ! Amazing ! Her mixed doubles with the Indian Legend 'Leander Paes' have been electric ! With my interest renewed I have followed some others . Let me mention some ...Amelie Mauresmo , Martina Hingis , Jennifer Capriati , Monica Seles...and the men .. Pete Sampras , Andy Roddick , Jim Courier . Some of these are retired now , and little Martina Hingis is on the comeback trail . I'm not sure in all who is playing this year , only what has been on the News Hour . Returning to Martina Navratilova , you might find it interesting ; she is a great technical player , and two who are just like that , are Leander Paes and Martina Hingis . Well , who is hot this year ? And who is not ? Of the men - I don't know if Andre Agassi is playing (formidable) , Hewitt and Phillipousis are having form problems , and Roddick & Federer Hot! Of the women - the Williams Sisters are looking powerful, and Kim Clijsters is hot , and Justine Hardenne is a killer-player as always . Martina Hingis is struggling - she is trying a Power play and it is not working . She is a great Cheese though . Amelie Mauresmo is too full on and gets injured all the time . That reminds to mention some of the oldies I miss so much - Mary Pierce , Arantxa Vicario and Pam Shriver . Till next post

Looking at some of the blogs , some are very flashy . If you like flash this will seem dull..look elsewhere . It's around 10 in the morning on a sunday here and you'll love the warm weather . I find it interesting how it's still saturday , and I have even heard friday , in other parts of the world . I live near the city and it's still pretty quiet . It won't be by midday . As I'm a mature person , I do everything a little slower , but I hope not as slow as the Womble , a person of proportion who ambles arduously on his path some way ; there is no doubt to me his mind is filled with computation and cryptogrammics . Now don't get me wrong , he is important and respected by us , who are in his field of expedition . We like him , but like a tank he moves on his date . I wonder about his consumption . Will McDonald , be that simple sign to the man's fall . Let me say when all that can be said of him , we should shout him , with a drink of Coca Cola .
